The Highland Wildlife Park is right nearby, and Shetland Cottage made a great base for exploring the Cairngorm National Park and its local activities. We came home feeling rested after a lovely, peaceful stay. The cottage is cosy, beautifully decorated, spotless and well equipped, with fast free internet that worked perfectly. The big enclosed private garden was great for the children and dogs. We’re already looking forward to another visit and would happily recommend it.

There are loads of places to visit within a fairly short drive, so the location is hard to beat. The cottage stayed warm and cosy even when it was -8, and our dog was happy in the enclosed garden. Yvonne was easy to communicate with before we arrived, which made settling in straightforward. The place is furnished to a high standard, comfortable, spotless and has everything you need. The owners are friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend it and plan to return.

The huge gated garden was just right for our little dog, and we’ll definitely come back to Shetland Cottage. It’s a pretty, modern place that’s cosy and comfortable. The wifi was brilliant, so I could get a bit of work done, and we could log in to our own Netflix account on the TV. My husband was especially pleased that it was a new TV. Thanks for a fantastic few days!

There’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding villages, and the cottage overlooks The Highland Wildlife Park. Shetland Cottage is very cosy and well appointed, with a big private garden where children can play and adults can relax. An ideal spot for a holiday.

A lovely listed building, warm and comfortable inside, and a great starting point for exploring the area. It’s ideal for up to four people. Although it’s right by the A9, you wouldn’t know it was there. A good choice if you’re after some peace and quiet.
