After a hard day walking, it was lovely to come back to such a comfortable place. We were a group of women walking part of the East Highland way and decided to treat ourselves to this wonderful bed and breakfast. The bedrooms are spacious and luxurious, with ensuite bathrooms, and the guest sitting room is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection. We were made very welcome and would highly recommend a stay. I’d love to do it again.

Ruby was so friendly and welcoming, and Raymond made us an excellent breakfast. We stayed in the Spey suite, which has a huge bathroom, and the room was really well equipped. There was a welcome wee dram of whiskey, plus all the toiletries and tea and coffee facilities we needed. The bed and sofa were both very comfortable, and we had a fantastic few nights. It’s a comfortable, beautifully decorated guest house and a good base for walks and other activities nearby. We also had good dinners at the local Indian and at the McInnes hotel at the end of the road.

The breakfast was superb, and the tea, coffee, biscuits and other treats were fabulous and much appreciated. The guest sitting areas were comfortable and lovely. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Best b and b we’ve ever stayed in, highly recommend!

We only booked two nights at Sutherlands and wished we’d stayed longer. It’s an easy walk to the center of Kingussie, and the stay was amazing value. Ruby and Rodney were great hosts. The rooms were huge, the beds extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was so good I can’t say enough about it. Rodney is an amazing Chef! Ruby gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants and activities, and they were spot on.

Such a gem, and a huge thank you to the hosts for having us. The rooms are spacious, with massive beds, and breakfast was lovely. The hosts were great. I think this place is better than many 4 star hotels, and it costs much less.
