The breakfasts were among the best we’ve had anywhere. The porridge was exceptional, and the mushrooms, scrambled eggs, haggis and black pudding were all delicious and cooked beautifully. Everything tasted carefully prepared with good ingredients. Our room was spotless, smelled lovely, and had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our whole three-week trip around Scotland. After a day out exploring, coming back felt like a luxury. Sinead and Des made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, almost like family. Their hospitality was warm and attentive in every little detail, and the service was incredible. It felt like staying in a second home. The room was beautiful, and the whole house had so much character, warmth and elegance. Everything was immaculate, with care visible throughout. The Osprey Hotel in Kingussie was one of the highlights of our trip. Its location is ideal for exploring the national park, and it was worth every penny. By the end we didn’t want to leave, since the place had started to feel like home. Thank you, Sinead and Des, for making our stay so special. We’ll remember it for a long time.

The relaxed atmosphere and convenient location made our visit to the Scottish Highlands easy and enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and we felt well looked after throughout. We had a lovely stay at the Osprey Hotel and would gladly return or recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Kingussie is a lovely place to explore, with charming villages, folk museums, hiking trails, working dogs, good restaurants and traditional Highland sports. We only stayed for two days, which was such a pity, and we’ll definitely come back. Des and Sinead were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home right away. Their hotel is adorable.

Our hosts were so welcoming and gave us really helpful advice. We stayed in August 2024, and this family hotel was one of the most authentic places we found in Scotland. You should definitely stop by their home.
