We only stopped in for dinner, but what a find. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. When they say giant Yorkshire, they really do mean giant! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and our dog was made just as welcome. Excellent value.

We've been back several times for food and drinks. The pub is dog friendly, the beer is good, the staff are great and the food is excellent, with generous portions. My rump steak was cooked perfectly. My wife had the pâté as a starter, and there was more than enough for a whole meal. It was tasty too. Looking forward to another visit.

The place is gorgeous, nicely decorated, and the food was gorgeous too. The staff made me, my husband and our baby feel so welcome. There were some lovely friendly dogs wandering around, but our baby was a bit scared because she hadn't seen dogs like them before. The staff made a big effort to keep the dogs away from her. Thanks for a really nice meal and for making such a fuss of our daughter!

The countryside around here is beautiful, with some nice dog walks nearby. We had a lovely stay at The Kings Head, and everyone was friendly, polite and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The food, drinks and thoughtful little extras all added to the visit. Our room was spotless and felt homely, and the whole place is quaint, quirky, cosy and inviting, run by genuinely nice people. The pub car park isn't massive, but parking on the lane just outside was easy enough and not a problem. We can't fault our stay and highly recommend this lovely little gem.

Dinner was a highlight, especially the stunning pies. They were so good I took two beef ones home. Breakfast was a winner too. I ordered the bap with crispy bacon, sausage and egg every morning, all locally sourced, and the strong coffee came in huge bowl-like cups. I stayed three nights at the Kings Head and had a wonderful time. It's easy to find just off the main road as you come into the village, and felt warm and cosy on a horrible rainy night. Kenny welcomed me and offered to carry my bags upstairs. My room was tastefully decorated and warm, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom super clean and well appointed. Service was above and beyond. Kenny, Susan, Alex, Shaun and Jack the dog all made the stay special. I can't recommend the place enough.
