This was our second visit, and the hosts were wonderful again. The countryside is beautiful, with Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas nearby. We were very comfortable, and the antique bathroom is quite unique. Breakfasts were generous enough to keep us going all day.
Sheila and Chris make you feel very welcome. It's a quiet, traditional farmhouse in the countryside, great for a peaceful couple's escape or time with family and friends.
The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was out of this world. A fantastic place with loads of character and really nice hosts!

The welcome from the friendly, cheerful owners and the lovely dogs made us feel at home right away. We spent a wonderful time playing with and petting the dogs after we arrived. The farm is charming and well located, and we'd love to return. We highly recommend Marks Farm to anyone staying in the area. Dinner was a real highlight, with a fresh appetizer, main course, and dessert, all prepared with great care. We were glad we'd booked two nights so we could enjoy it fully. Breakfast was also five stars, fresh and with a wider selection than we've ever had at another B&B. Our room had a good amount of space and a cosy bed. The bathroom and toilet were across the hall, just a few steps away, and had a lovely rustic bathtub.
