Naomi and I have now stayed at the hare & hounds twice. This time we brought our camper van and used an electric pitch; on our first visit we stayed in one of the lovely bed and breakfast rooms. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are kept to a really high standard. We'd happily recommend it.

We booked at the last minute and the owner was lovely, getting us checked in and making the place feel relaxed and welcoming. The campsite has all the basics covered, with good showers and toilets. There's a bus stop right outside, Rye is reachable on foot, and the pub is just up the road. We'd come back for another trip to Rye or Camber.

You can walk into Rye from here, or take the bus, and Horse & Cart is about a 15-minute level walk away. The food there was fantastic. Back at the campsite, the pitches are large and well looked after, and the facilities are clean. They even have sockets for charging phones in tents. We got a very warm welcome too. A real little gem.

There are lots of nice walks nearby, and historic Rye is close by too. The campsite itself was spotless and had all the facilities we needed. Best campsite I've ever stayed at.

We'd been told about this site by friends who'd stayed before, and it lived up to the recommendation. The pitches were generous enough for our family tent and car. There are plenty of footpaths leading towards Rye and beyond, plus a pub less than a mile away. The individual toilets and showers were kept perfectly clean, and we much prefer them to a shared block. There's also a roomy, covered washing-up area with washing-up liquid provided. We appreciated the little extras too, including access to a fridge and freezer and phone chargers. The owners seem to have thought of everything. We'll definitely return.
