Austwick Hall

We’re desperate to come back from Germany and stay again soon. The owners made our visit wonderful, and gave us five-star comfort and service while treating us warmly and making us feel at home. I’ve stayed in plenty of five-star hotels around the world where you’re treated like a golden egg in a way that feels charmless and soulless. Breakfast was absolutely perfect, with exactly what anyone could want on waking up in this beautiful place. Please don’t change it! And to whoever asked for a mini fridge in the room, please stick to your Hilton. There’s a fridge outside the rooms for all guests, stocked with champagne and other necessities. Thank you to both owners. See you soon!

We didn’t want to leave and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The rooms were great, the bed very comfortable, and breakfast was great too. The owners were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. If you’re after peace and quiet in a lovely setting, this is the place.

The garden was nicely laid out, and breakfast was very good. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and the Blue Room was beautifully arranged. Great location too. Would highly recommend.

Eric and Michael were wonderful hosts. The location is excellent, with a lovely village, pub and local shop close by. Breakfast was fabulous, made with good-quality ingredients, including homemade jam and warm croissants.
