The staff are friendly, helpful and quick to respond. The showers are among the best I’ve come across at a campsite, and 50p feels well worth it. It gets busy in peak periods, but is quiet the rest of the time.

We’ve been twice now, and this is easily one of the nicest sites we’ve visited. The fees were very reasonable, £108 for three nights for two adults and three dogs. It’s a genuinely dog friendly place, with an outdoor dog shower and a huge enclosed dog field across the road. The site is thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of sinks, toilets and showers, all spotless. A shower costs 50p for 10 minutes. We didn’t have to queue, though I can imagine a wait at the busiest times. There’s a little shop with hot food from Easter, plus a new coffee machine, £2.90 each. One tip, contact the site directly to book. Booking through Pitchup and similar sites assigns you a pitch. Ours was farthest from the facilities, which made carrying washing up a bit of a trek. We’ll be back.

The homemade pizzas were delicious after our day out, and the site is only a 15 minute drive from the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. We’ve camped here twice now and had a really nice time both visits. I’d recommend it and we’ll be back!

The toilets, showers and washing up area were unbelievably clean, and the people running the shop and bookings were so helpful. We felt very welcome as a ladies camping group, the Happy CampHers, and nothing was too much trouble. The place is beautiful, probably one of the cleanest and nicest campsites I’ve visited. I liked it enough to add an extra night, and I’m already thinking about coming back in a couple of months. No hesitation recommending it, though I almost want to keep Orcaber quiet so it doesn’t get too busy to book! See you again soon xx

There’s plenty to explore nearby, including Hawes and Settle, and Malham cove if you fancy a more strenuous walk. The pitches are spacious, with hard standing for campervans and caravans. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the outdoor pot washing area to the heated toilet and shower blocks, where music plays to cover any noises. The 50p showers are really good and seem to last ages. There’s an outdoor dog wash too. My only small gripe is that there are no hooks by the sinks for hanging a towel or clothes while washing or brushing your teeth. One of the nicest sites we’ve stayed at in the UK.
