The Royal Hotel and Bar was a sweet place to stay, with a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere in the bar. It’s within walking distance of the train station, easy to find, and close to lots of shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and had arranged an early check in for us. They were also kind and responsive when I emailed before the trip. The bathroom was pristine, though there was a stray hair or dust bunny on the linens. The area was mostly quiet, apart from the nearby clock tower. We really enjoyed our stay.

We spent most of the evening in the pub downstairs, where the staff were friendly and the atmosphere warm and inviting. You can order pizzas from a local shop there too, and we’d recommend them. We had a great stay and would come back. It was just one night at the hotel, and our host gave us a warm welcome along with information about the hotel, available provisions, and Lancaster. Thanks to all the staff.

This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely come back again. The Royal Hotel and Bar is right in the centre of Lancaster, in an excellent location. Everyone welcomed us warmly, and the room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a very comfy bed. I’d highly recommend it.

We were in Lancaster for a wedding in October and had a lovely stay. When storm disrupted train travel, I rang ahead because we might be late. The woman at reception was friendly and explained how we could check in whatever happened. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived, and really appreciated the surprise room upgrade with some breakfast items. The room was lovely and clean, and the location was great for the station and exploring the city. Highly recommend.

I met a travel buddy in Lancaster, halfway between our homes in the North and South, and picked this place based on its glowing reviews. They were right. The room was spacious and really clean, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast basket was a nice touch. Being able to adjust the room temperature easily was a bonus. Friendly staff and very handy for town. Five stars well deserved.
