Kevock Vale Park

The hosts were extremely helpful and easy to contact, and the bus stop was an easy walk away, which made getting around simple. We stayed two nights in a lovely little garden pod at Kevock Vale Park while visiting relatives in Edinburgh. It was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed. We'd definitely stay again.

The bus into Edinburgh was excellent, and the local pub was only a five-minute walk away. The food there was excellent too, and the staff were very friendly. The owners were lovely people, and the kids had a great time. We were the first visitors to the new Pod at Kevock Vale Park. It's a private residence with a cabin and the new Pod, not a caravan park. The Pod is small but really cosy and well equipped, with a fridge, kettle, toaster and cooking ring. The double bed and sofa bed were both extremely comfortable, and the shower was fab. It was nicely decorated, and we named the ram Roddy. We'd never stayed in a pod before, and can't wait to go back.

The Pod made a lovely escape and would also be a great base for seeing Edinburgh and beyond. Mum and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Dave and Val were friendly, wonderful hosts who had everything ready for us when we arrived. Wee Shaun, Casper, Lily and Herman helped us feel welcome too, though Casper did want to eat my sleeve! Being right beside the river made it a relaxing place to stay. It's well located for Edinburgh and Midlothian, and the owners were really helpful. The place was lovely and very clean, with everything you'd need. I'd definitely book again.
