Royal Oak Steakhouse

A good country pub with plenty of Westons cider to choose from. There’s lots of parking, and the outdoor seating has lovely views west towards Marcle Ridge. A great spot for an evening pint while watching the sun go down.

We went for lunch as a group of three. The staff were really friendly, and they’re exceptionally welcoming to dogs. Both my friends enjoyed their meals, but my burger was badly burnt underneath, so badly that I could barely cut through it. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to spoil their lunch. I can’t understand why the cook served it instead of making another.

We spent a night away with the kids during half term in the little apartment and had a great time. It’s perfectly placed for exploring Ledbury and Ross on Wye. The accommodation was immaculate, and I’m not sure you’ll find better at that price. The log burner was a lovely touch. We have one at home, so the kids thought it was perfect. Our dog was very pleased too after a brisk walk around Ledbury. They’re amazingly dog friendly, with bowls, blankets for a cheeky sofa snooze, and a jar of treats.

The staff gave us the best service, and the food was excellent. Thanks to them, our celebration went really well. I’d go again if I had the opportunity.
