The Lodge, at Orchard Cottage

The peace and the view from the double doors towards the Malvern Hills made this a lovely stay. Roger and Nicki are wonderful hosts, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend their tasteful bed and breakfast, especially if you’re going to a wedding at Homme House. The room had exquisite furnishings, a very comfortable bed, and high-quality linen. The bathroom had plenty of toiletries. Breakfast each morning was a delight, elegantly presented and skillfully prepared. The homemade compote, jams, and marmalade added a lovely touch, and the portions were generous.

Watching the sun rise over the malverns from the room was dreamy, and the view was stunning. Everything was immaculate, with the comfiest bedding and thoughtful touches we really appreciated, including a chilled bottle of water waiting on arrival. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and very accommodating of dietary needs, even with GF sausages. The hosts were so friendly. During covid they had plenty of measures in place, which felt reassuring and comforting while still keeping the stay homely. We’d absolutely love to return. Or be adopted and move in, ha! Couldn’t recommend it more.

The views through the big glass doors were spectacular in summer, and the place had a real French feel. We sat outside with a glass of wine, enjoying the scenery, though local cider would fit the mood too. The area’s lovely, with some particularly interesting, historically important churches nearby, or Weston's cider mill as another option. Nicki and Roger were friendly from the start during our two-night stay as a couple, beginning 9th August. The accommodation was clean, the room spacious, and the bed comfortable. The couple next door arrived with a young baby on the second night, but the soundproofing was so good we didn’t hear a thing. Breakfast was delicious, with Nicki growing quite a few ingredients in the large garden. The TV’s tiny, though I don’t think we turned it on. And don’t fuss over Percy too much, he gets scratchy when excited! Nice place, would happily stay again.

The double doors opened onto a tranquil view towards the Malvern Hills, and Roger and Nicki made our stay wonderful. Their B&B is top class, and I’d recommend it more than highly. Thank you both.
