Hampton by Hilton Leeds City Centre

The hotel is conveniently close to the city centre, so we parked and walked around. I stayed a couple of days ago and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and nice, though a little smaller than I'd imagined, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. A special mention for Ei, who was serving at the bar at night. She was extremely friendly and took the time to recommend some excellent asian restaurants in Leeds, which we really appreciated. I'd happily stay again.

The room was spotless when we arrived, and it was clearly well looked after. The staff were really friendly too, and the location worked so well for our couple of days. Thanks to Gabriela for making up such a lovely room. We’ll definitely come back.

We were left waiting to check in because the only person on duty was handling both the bar and restaurant. Then there was the charge for using the hotel car park, which felt like price gouging. The room itself had a toilet seat that had come off and was simply sitting back on the bowl. I've never encountered that at a hotel before. Basic room maintenance should be a given. I hoped to give the place a chance, but so far I wouldn't recommend it and would steer people elsewhere.

Emily was especially helpful during my stay, and her friendly manner made a real difference. I found the breakfast tasty, fresh and nicely laid out, with enough choice to make a good start to each day. The hotel is right in central Leeds, handy for shops, restaurants and public transport, so getting around was easy. I was comfortable here and would gladly stay again.
