Quebecs

The room was absolutely freezing, and the heating controls were confusing and didn't work properly. Staff came twice to adjust them, but the problem persisted. They eventually brought me a portable heater the next morning, after my sleep had already been badly disrupted. A warm room is a basic expectation, and this hotel didn't provide one. The décor also feels dated. The one real plus is the location near Leeds railway station, and for the price there are much better options in Leeds. Update: five days later, I'm still suffering from the cold I picked up at this hotel. I wouldn't return.

Every visit to quebecs brings us another lovely welcome and amazing customer service. The hotel itself is stunning and makes us feel like we've stepped into luxury. Joy is usually there to greet us, and she's such a lovely colleague who always makes our stay special. Caroline, the manager, is super sweet too and does her best to make us feel like VIPs. This is our favourite place, and we'll be back!

The breakfast was excellent, with great food and drinks and a lovely view from the room on our floor. Staff there were excellent too. The hotel is close to everything we needed, and we could walk to the O2 Academy for a show. At check-in, both desk staff showed a genuine interest in chatting about why we were visiting, and they were friendly and helpful. They also recommended places for my wife and me to eat. One staff member even insisted on taking a few photos of us as we were heading out, until we had a couple we liked. Really good service, and we'd definitely come again.

Our room was spacious and lovely, with a powerful hot shower, really comfortable beds and pillows, and toiletries, a hairdryer, iron, ironing board and safe provided. There weren't any USB ports in our particular room, though there may be in others. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar looked like a nice spot for a quiet drink, although we didn't use it. The hotel sits right in the centre but away from a main walking route, so we had the convenience without people passing by noisily. The hotel's own car park has only seven spaces, allocated first come, first served. There's space outside to drop bags off before finding another spot, and several multistorey car parks are within a five-minute walk.
