The Halfway House made a great base for visiting my aunt and uncle over the Canadian May long weekend. My room was clean and cozy, and the separate bathroom was thoughtfully laid out with everything I needed. Breakfast was included, and although I don't usually eat it, I was glad I tried the full English on Sunday. It hit the spot after a couple of beers and live music on Saturday. The band, The Lost Boys, played covers that brought back memories of the bands I grew up listening to. Neil, the owner, was a pleasure to chat with, and we swapped stories about trips to Las Vegas. The rest of the staff were friendly too, and made me feel welcome. The nearby walks were handy: five minutes to ASDA, twenty to Morrisons, and ten to the park. For anyone coming from overseas, I flew into London Heathrow, took the Piccadilly line to London Kings Cross, then the train to Leeds and an Uber to the Halfway House. The whole trip from the airport took about four hours, mostly on the London Underground and the LNR train to Leeds. I'd happily recommend staying here.

Joanne, Julie, and the woman who greeted me that evening clearly care about this pub and the service they give. They were first class. It was a lovely, welcoming place to stay, and my room was spotless and nicely decorated. I'm fussy about cleanliness, so that really stood out.

We found the location handy, with public transport nearby for getting to different areas, and we'd definitely return. The room had just been refurbished and was immaculate. I loved the bathroom, and everything seemed to have been thought through. It was one of the best rooms we've stayed in. Everyone we met on staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Neil, the owner, was fantastic, approachable, and knowledgeable. The hospitality was second to none, and I couldn't fault any part of the stay. Highly recommend it.

The Halfway House in Morley has a long history and a real sense of community, and it's one of the most characterful local pubs I've visited. I've been coming back on and off since I first played darts and pool there, and it still lifts my mood. These days I might stop in for a game or just a refreshingly cool soft drink, sometimes cider. It's by Bradford Road and Scotchman Lane, and the staff do a great job running the bar and keeping the atmosphere lively. I hope the photos I've shared, from past and present, help keep this one-of-a-kind pub on the map.

The room was gorgeous, comfortable, and tastefully done, and breakfast was delicious. The bar was friendly and busy all night, with everyone having a good time. Staff were welcoming too. Nothing to fault, I'd definitely stay again.
