A nicely rendered terrace house with white paint on every room, because white paint is cheap, surrounded by other, well, lived-in terrace houses. You get on-street parking, if you dare use it, and views of other people’s washing, all for £60-80 a night. If that sounds like your idea of a three-star hotel, you’re clearly insane. Terrace house No. 20 on Vinery Mount, really a 3🌟 hotel? Wow. Just wow!

It was clean and nice, but not accessible for disabled guests. There are lots of steep stairs, especially going up to the top bedroom, and one of the steps at the entrance was unstable.

They cancelled our booking five days before we were due to stay, even though we’d made it well over a month earlier.
