Castle Hotel

The home-cooked meals are just what I need after a day at work, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Thanks, Shell. I’ve stayed here many times and will keep coming back because the staff are always welcoming and accommodating. Special thanks to Caroline and Pam. Thanks again, ladies. See you soon!

We had a great night’s sleep, and hot drinks were available in the room. It was a nice room, though there were signs of damp. We were there for a reunion, and every staff member made us feel welcome and did all they could to help. We had two evening meals, both great, with fantastic service at the table. Breakfast had a wide selection for different tastes, and Pam the waitress went above and beyond. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

The garden is really nice, with a partial view of the actual castle. You can see more of it from some rooms. I’ve been here twice lately for my photography business, and you’d never guess it was part of a national chain. It’s immaculate throughout, with high standards of personal service and great food and drink. Highly recommended, and a refreshing change from many other places.

Caroline was especially helpful and very nice. I stayed one night for work and found the hotel really clean, with helpful staff and fab food. Breakfast was brilliant, honestly more than I could eat. Fab place to stay, and I’ll book here again without hesitation.
