The room and halls were very clean, and housekeeping had made the bed nicely, but the service left a bad impression. The receptionist spoke in a patronising way and seemed to overdo the role. Check-in involved too many pointless steps, including signing a manual logbook that feels outdated. If there’s no proper system, reception should take care of it instead of insisting guests sign. The facilities were disappointing too: just a small towel and tiny soap, with no tea, coffee, kettle or little table in the room. There was no sink in the toilet, and a patch of black mould under the shower. I didn’t like the manners or service, and I was disappointed. I won’t return or recommend the place.

The shower was the best part: great pressure and temperature, with shower gel supplied. The toilet and shower are separate, though there’s sadly nowhere to put things in the shower. The plain room has a closet, en-suite sink, chair, TV and a bed with one pillow, a flat sheet and a blanket. A small desk would be useful. It felt just a little warm, but opening the window helped with airflow. Free tea and coffee too. Good value for the price.

I hadn’t expected to find a place like this in the area. It suited exactly what I needed, and I had a good experience. 👍

It’s very cheap, basic and clean, but also very cold. The location is close to the town centre, Demotfort Hall and the theatres. For a couple of summer days on a tight budget, I think it’d be okay. My friend is 82 and not in too bad condition, but there was no help to get upstairs. I wasn’t allowed up the stairs to help with her bags.
