For £84 for two nights over a weekend, this was outstanding value. We slept well in comfortable beds, and the room was a good size, clean and tidy, with nice decor. The bathroom had good toiletries and towels, hot water came quickly, and the shower had good pressure. The hotel was clean and quiet, with free parking and an Indian restaurant next door. It’s also well located for Leicester, Nottingham and the surrounding areas. I’ve rated it five stars for what we got at that price. For a true five star stay, pay five times as much and go elsewhere. If you want a good, cheap place, I highly recommend it.

We booked two rooms for two nights but left after just one, and won’t be returning. Both rooms were unclean and unfit for purpose, with extremely uncomfortable beds and mattresses that need changing immediately. The bathroom fan was disgusting. There was new carpet, but marks low on the walls looked like vomit splatter, and there were bugs in the light fittings. The curtains were frayed and the rooms smelled unpleasant. We also didn’t enjoy the music blaring late at night, or the conversations and door banging as patrons left. Perhaps it’s a job for 'The Hotel Inspector'!

There’s a grassed area where you can walk a dog on a lead, which worked well for me. The room was clean and the shower was good, though the room could do with updating. It’s a good location for the price, and you get what you pay for. There’s an Indian restaurant next door, along with a bar, coffee machine and vending machine in the hotel. The pub just a short drive away serves meals.

There’s no reception after 9:30 pm, and the room was noisy and full of unpleasant smells. The bed was dirty, with lots of yellow stains. This was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen, and the whole experience was terrible. I honestly don’t know what rating to give it, since even one star feels too generous.

I paid £167 for four nights, Monday to Friday, which was an absolute steal. The team were friendly, and the basic room was quite comfortable, clean and tidy, with an en-suite, tea and coffee, a kettle and a TV with all the Freeview channels. Reception is open 7am to 10pm, with limited vending and coffee. The building is on a very busy diesel carriageway, so a front room would be quite noisy. It’s a basic hotel, and the only way in is by car. There’s no security: the front door and internal doors are left open, so anyone could walk in and knock on a door with no lock. Apologies for the pictures, I was checking out and the room was fully prepared when I arrived.
