Nera Stay

The accommodation is in a converted stabling area, and it was clean, crisp and comfortable. We had some initial confusion about the booking, made worse by arriving late because of the storm, but Caroline and the team were extremely apologetic and accommodating. Caroline went out of her way to make us comfortable, which we really appreciated. The pub itself is a classic backstreet boozer with its own regulars, and it was fine. The outside looks like an ordinary small local pub, but it’s a great, reasonably priced place to lay your head.

I moved to the area in May and came here first. I’ve kept coming back ever since because I really like it. Vicki and the staff are polite, friendly and accommodating, and it has a friendly atmosphere. Full marks, with pleasure! ❤️

The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable, and the beer garden is spacious and inviting. The place has a lovely atmosphere, with regulars who make you feel welcome, plenty of friendly conversation and lots of history to hear about. The staff and owner are the most welcoming, hospitable people I’ve met. The beers and ales are thoughtfully chosen and rotated regularly, and the cellar and lines are kept in meticulous order. I even got a special tour. Without a doubt, this is the best accommodation experience I’ve had, and probably ever will have. Choose elsewhere and you’ll miss a wonderful countryside stay in a gorgeous little village.

I travel to Leighton Buzzard often for work, doing block booking shifts and long hours, so I have to stay locally. The White Horse has been a little gem. I think I’ve now stayed in every room over the past year and haven’t been disappointed. They’re always spotless, the beds are clean and comfortable, and you can switch the heating on in colder months. The owner is very nice and helpful, and always replies to emails promptly, which gives me peace of mind. The pub doesn’t stay open very late, so drunken people aren’t shouting or disturbing your evening. There’s a lovely gated courtyard where you can relax outside, have a smoke or enjoy a drink alone before bed. It feels quiet and safe, away from the busy town centre, and I’d feel fine leaving a window open all night. There’s always parking on the road nearby, plus an Italian restaurant right outside the pub, and a small convenience store and kebab place less than a minute away. In the room there’s a small TV, clean towels, enough toilet paper and a kettle for a hot drink. Highly recommended 👌 👍
