The website mentions safety, but when I came downstairs around 4am for a cup of tea, the back kitchen door had been left wide open. Anyone could have walked in. We arrived around 5pm on Saturday 17th Jan and I barely slept, maybe three hours. The mattress springs creaked terribly, and my brother's bed collapsed within 30 seconds of him getting into it. It seemed to be held together with a nail or screw. The bathroom door had to be slammed to shut and lock it for privacy. There was out-of-date food in the fridge, going back to August 2025, and it stank. The place was dirty and untidy, nothing like the Booking.com photos. The website talks about a nice garden, really? When was the last time anyone visited? I have lots of photo evidence of what a dump it is. This should be taken off the market. There should be an option for AWFUL when asked to describe the hotel.

The photos make it look OK, but inside it was freezing. The oven didn't work, and neither did the bathroom lights. The bed I slept in was barely holding together. There was rubbish stacked up in the kitchen, enough for weeks, and mouldy food in the fridge. The owner said he'd get it fixed while I was staying there, but nothing ever happened.
