Dunclutha Guest House

I was working nearby and stayed at the Dunclutha for 10 days. It's a handy base for Fife and the surrounding area, just minutes from Leven town centre. Julie and Richard were professional, very friendly hosts who went out of their way to help. The service and breakfasts were fantastic, and the rooms were extremely comfortable. I've already booked again for next year and would highly recommend it.

The Fife coast is a lovely part of the country, and the Fife Coastal Trail is only a few hundred yards away. Even getting to Edinburgh is easy, with a direct train that takes about an hour and has great views. It seems a good way to avoid spending several hundred dollars at the big-name hotels. Julie and Richard, thanks for such a welcoming stay in a wonderful place. The other reviews have covered most of it already, so I'll just say we'll definitely be back.

Julie and Rich made me feel at home straight away. After a rough night elsewhere, Julie's welcome felt like the warm hug I needed. They're such a fun, kind couple that I only wish I'd been able to stay longer. The room was just right, with inviting colours, a cosy duvet, a very clean modern bathroom and lots of storage. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and I loved the homemade shortbread and the carefully set up coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was delicious. I had fresh fruit and juice, then the traditional Scottish cooked options I'd picked the night before, including haggis patties, which were so good. Even the coffee came in a mini French press. Their half-Maine Coon cats were sweet, too. I was sad to leave Dunclutha B&B and told them I wished I could move in. Haste ye back, as the Scots say, until next time!

The location was perfect, and the rooms were clean and roomy. Very welcoming and family friendly, with two crazy cats as a bonus.
