Yesterday I got an email saying my booking had been cancelled, even though I never chose to cancel it. It even said, “thank you your booking has been cancelled.” There was no explanation, and nobody replied to my email. Very poor service.

Breakfast was a reasonable choice and nicely prepared, though you’re mostly left to yourself until then. The room was neat, warm and tidy, with a clean bed. It’s an inexpensive B&B in a handy spot and easy to find. Parking worked well if you arrived early, since there are only three free permits, so a full weekday could leave some guests out of luck. I checked in late on Friday, so the rather hit-or-miss welcome wasn’t a big surprise. A few other guests looked puzzled too, but we all found our rooms eventually. The place is two connected houses.

Our group of eight cyclists had a lovely room and a warm welcome. We could leave our bikes in a secure building at the back. The city centre is an easy walk away, and breakfast was excellent. Recommended.

Steve and Elaine made us feel so welcome, they’re warm and friendly, and very accommodating. We came for my partner’s birthday and had a relaxed, comfortable stay in a place with a lovely atmosphere. We’d definitely go back. Lorraine and Dave 😀

We ended up adding Friday night after booking for Saturday, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. It’s a clean, lovely hotel with a lovely breakfast menu. A professionally run B&B with lovely people. We’ll be back and would definitely recommend it.
