We booked two nights at Primrose Cottage but left after just one. What a disaster. There was a working site downstairs, and our apartment had no internal door for security. The bed springs were shot, the shower had just one setting, boiling hot, and the kitchen was missing essentials. There was only one wine glass, the dining chair was broken and should have come with a danger warning, and the washing machine was so loud you needed ear muffs. Primrose Cottage did offer us somewhere else to stay, but only at 9 o’clock at night. They didn’t offer a refund. The upside was finding a FABULOUS B & B that was the opposite of Primrose Cottage in every respect. Thumbs down.

The apartment was beautiful and in a convenient spot, and the couch was very comfy. But there was building work directly beneath us, and nobody warned us beforehand. We were concerned about the lack of a private entrance: after we went out to get food, the door was unlocked, with our things just up the stairs. It turned out the entrance to the building site downstairs was the only one with its own door. The shower felt like it would burn your skin even on the coldest setting. The bed was broken, which is why I know how comfy the couch was.
