The kitchen was great and fully equipped for making meals, and we appreciated the board games. Wi-Fi was lightning fast for rural Scotland, at 80 mps, and worked flawlessly with more than five devices connected. There’s also a smart TV for evenings. Check-in was easy, and the whole place felt brand new. It’s a lovely, recently renovated two-floor apartment, warm and welcoming. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with ultra-soft mattresses and toppers that made for perfect sleep. We truly enjoyed our stay and thought it was excellent quality, very comfortable and great value. Highly recommend.

Nicola had thought of everything we might need, even disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste in case we’d forgotten ours. Breakfast food was provided, too. Wester Muirhouse is a beautiful, quiet and tranquil place, with an amazing view from the bedroom window. The location is lovely, a short drive from Edinburgh and close to Edinburgh Airport, a golf course and a few little towns. The host was brilliant. We’re so grateful for our stay and would highly recommend it.

The owner clearly cares about the place, and it shows. While cycling the John Muir Way, this was the best place we stayed. We got a whole house for the price of a room, and it was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Wow.
