We really enjoyed the food and the service on our first visit to this little Walsingham gem. There’s a nice range of dishes, wines and beers, and we’ll be back. Recommended.

Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, with good beer choices too. The food was good and the portions were a decent size. It could use some vegan options, though.

05/08/2025 The ham, egg and chips were amazing. The ham was tender and well seasoned, the eggs tasty and salty, and the chips thin, crisp and cooked just right. My parents really enjoyed their meals too. We were served quickly, and the staff were so helpful that nothing seemed like a bother. Inside, the older building blends nicely with the newer fittings, and the menu marks allergies at the bottom. We got a very friendly welcome and were seated straight away. We were too full to try pudding, but will make time next visit. Definitely worth stopping if you’re passing through Walsingham. Thanks for a lovely lunch, and see you again. It’s dog friendly as well.

The staff were really nice and seemed embarrassed, and I suggested they remove the scampi from the menu since they admitted it was bought in. I had scampi, chips and crushed minted peas for £19. The scampi was horrible, though I ate it because I was hungry. The peas were truly disgusting and inedible, the chips seemed frozen and several were hard in the middle, and the whole meal was far too salty. I paid after eating two of the three parts, but it was very poor value. I left still hungry, and the corner shop had already closed. I come to Walsingham often, but next time I’ll drive to Wells for fish and chips.
