We were going to a rugby match, and less than 24 hours beforehand they cancelled our booking, claiming there was a water leak that seemed made up. This place couldn't have been worse. I'd give it zero if I could.

Looking at other reviews, it seems he does this on Liverpool and Everton match days. We weren't given our room code on the day, then were asked to cancel because he'd sold the room to someone else. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

They cancel to get more money and leave you stranded. Stay well away, especially when there's an event like England vs Australia or a Liverpool game. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

We only ended up here because everywhere else was charging hundreds for Springsteen, so we had to pay nearly £150. The room was dirty enough and smelled of smoke as soon as we opened the door. The walls were wafer thin, the TV had no reception, and two sockets didn't work. Bring your own toilet paper, there was only half a roll when we arrived. It was about a 20 minute walk to Anfield, which was the one good thing. Most nearby roads are permit parking for most of the year, though you can park on Fordham St opposite McDs.

The tea and coffee setup was nicely arranged, and the kettle and room accessories all looked brand new, unlike what you sometimes get at bigger companies. Everything was clean and tidy. It's also well placed for heading into the City to see the sights or go out.
