The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel looks nice at first glance. There were some good details too, like fizzy and still water in the fridge and a strong shower. But the rooms and decor need more care: the bedding wasn’t clean, some window locks were broken or badly fitted, and the TV channels didn’t work. It feels like a three-star hotel to me. If it were brought back to its former glory, it could be a lovely four-star place. It’s somewhere between the best and worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

We arrived late in the evening, tired, and the reception staff were friendly and got us checked in quickly. The room was fantastic, with two huge beds and welcome treats. We slept brilliantly, then had a scrumptious breakfast with very friendly staff. We only stayed one night at Crowne Plaza Liverpool Airport, but I’d definitely recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

We had a good stay and would book again. The location was very good, and breakfast was a buffet with staff topping things up regularly. There was no heating when we arrived, but we’d been told about the issue and staff were working on it. Reception said heaters were available for affected rooms. Ours already had one, but it wasn’t doing much, so the staff brought another that worked perfectly. Everyone was very helpful.

Ornelii gave me a very friendly Diamond welcome. She’s a lovely, kind young woman and made a great connection with guests. My room was quiet and had good air conditioning, plus a bath where I could relax after a hard day's night. I love that the art deco character has been kept. Please don’t modernise it, the charm is perfect.

We joined a coach trip last weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was, especially after seeing some recent reviews. It was a great experience from arrival to checkout, with spacious rooms and a large breakfast selection. The air conditioning wasn’t working. The room was too hot for a portable heater, so we opened the window instead. The staff were helpful throughout, and Lewis deserves a special mention for going out of his way to make us feel welcome at the bar.
