We stayed on Saturday 7 March, their first day open, and they upgraded our apartment from one bedroom to two. It had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it.

I visited Turmeaus whisky shop and found a pretty good range of whisky, though you need deep pockets to shop there. I was a bit disappointed by the staff's knowledge of the products. As a regular whisky drinker and cigar smoker, I felt I had more experience than some of them, who seemed fairly young.

The building has an award-winning private courtyard at its centre, a secure spot for tenants to get some fresh air. It’s a beautiful character building in Liverpool’s commercial district. Originally offices for cotton traders in the 1800s, it was converted into 123 apartments in the early 2000s, with a cigar bar underneath.

The whisky shop is amazing. There’s so much to take in that your brain goes into overload. A must for whiskey lovers.
