The reception team were warm and welcoming, and the place seemed really well run. I stayed at Albert Court for two nights for a university reunion, and was impressed with everything. My double room was spacious and well equipped, and the kitchen was a great place for us to gather for breakfast and drinks. It’s great value, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend Albert Court to students and visitors like us.

Although it’s student accommodation, my room was clean and good, with a kettle, tea, coffee and milk provided. The location works well for Liverpool One and the city centre, and Albert Dock is nearby. The football grounds aren’t too far away either.

The staff are amazing, and the CV workshop helped me get a part-time job. The rooms are large and clean, and the place is close to campus and the city centre. There are lots of restaurants downstairs, too. A good place to stay.

I spent a year here after moving in last September, and wouldn’t choose it again. My first flatmate was much older than me, stole food, walked into other people’s rooms and left a horrific mess. He screamed at all hours and slammed doors, which was pretty scary. After he was moved, there were lots of flatmate changes. There were broken windows and an awful seagull problem. I can’t put into words how much this place made me hate birds. The appliances were kind of shitty, too. Maintenance staff came into my room without notice several times, which made me extremely uncomfortable and anxious. I guess you get what you pay for.

The staff were always nice, but the rooms are very basic and I definitely wouldn’t pick this place again. The kitchen looked like a staff room, and we didn’t even get one fridge shelf per person. The students staying there weren’t very social, so it may not suit you if you want a lively uni experience. There were lots of international students, and language or cultural barriers might make it harder to connect. Nothing was especially wrong with the place, it just felt very basic.
