Cwm Chwefru Holiday Cottages

The quiet and birdsong make it easy to switch off here, with lovely views all around. There’s plenty for the whole family to do, including a sauna, pool, games room, and a unique space to unwind. We got to fully enjoy being out in nature and leave everyday worries behind. If you’re looking to recharge, this place is well worth a visit.

The views alone do the soul good, and the indoor pool and games room are lovely extras. We always arrive to warm, immaculate accommodation, and the staff are so friendly. We love coming back here, it never stops taking our breath away. Already looking forward to booking again next year!

We had a wonderful family break in the Robin Studio cottage at Lake cottages. The hillside views were priceless, especially at breakfast outside, and we loved toasting marshmallows around the fire pit in the evening. The location is breathtaking, and inside the cottage was clean, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed for self-catering. I’d give this place 10 stars and highly recommend it. My only small letdown was the games room: I was told some things were missing, including pool table balls and a couple of other items. There wasn’t anyone at reception when we noticed, and by the time we returned the next day I’d forgotten to mention it. Perhaps a staff member could check the room and its facilities. Thank you, Lake cottages, we’ll be back.

We loved our stay so much that we added an extra night because leaving was hard. Cwm Chwefru turned out even better than we’d expected, a beautiful hidden gem in Mid Wales. The cottage had everything we could have hoped for, and the surroundings were stunning from the moment we arrived. The sauna and swimming facilities were a lovely touch. It works just as well for a quiet escape as a base for exploring the Welsh countryside.
