Llwyn Helyg Country House

Breakfast was freshly cooked and really tasty, and Caron and Fiona greeted us with tea and freshly baked cakes. The rooms are airy, bright and very clean, with high-spec fittings. It was six-star comfort at an affordable price. Couldn't have asked for more, and it's a lovely cosy stay if you're visiting South Wales.

We spent four nights at Llwyn Helyg and stayed in the stunning Dryswyn bedroom. Caron and Fiona were charming, friendly and helpful throughout, and made us feel completely welcome. We didn't know the area, so Caron wrote down lovely and interesting places to visit, with postcodes, and even booked some excellent restaurants for us. Breakfast was beautifully presented and, as you'd expect, perfect. The house is their home, and they designed the exterior and interior and oversaw the whole build. Every detail feels carefully done, with sparkling quality and very high specifications. The accommodation is unique and exceptional, so five stars hardly seems enough. The glowing reviews had set our expectations high, but the real experience surpassed them. Nothing was too much trouble. We only wish we could've stayed longer, and we're sure to return.

Caron and Fiona are wonderful owners who make you feel that your stay is special. The house is amazingly designed, and no expense seems to have been spared on the fittings, fixtures or furniture. Probably the finest B&B in the world. Stay here for an experience you won't forget.
