Bryn Artro Country House

The location was nice, but the rooms and bathrooms really need updating. Dinner was a letdown, overcooked and without much taste. Service felt awkward too. The chef greeted us when we arrived, then our server spent the meal standing around playing on a tablet.

We drove from Manchester for 3 hours and 45 minutes, but had to leave without staying. There was no mobile signal or internet, so we went on to Caernarfon and booked into the Celtic for the night. We ended up staying there for both nights, which I’ll review separately. Our stay at Bryn Artro had been paid for with a voucher, and we see this as theft. We’ll pursue getting our hard earned money back. We’d told the owner we’d arrive late in the evening and were told that would be no problem. But when we got there, the place was empty and locked up, with a pile of delivered mail behind the porch door. I’m so disappointed. Don’t believe the good reviews, they’re more likely to have been posted by the property owner than genuine guests.

The food was beautiful, and the service was second to none. What an amazing place. Please stay here.

Lovely place for walks and exploring, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
