The fish and chips we had were excellent, and the toilets were spotlessly clean. I often judge a place by the state of its toilets. We came in on Saturday after a long beach walk from Fraisethope and found the place by accident. We absolutely loved it. The staff were so welcoming and the service was spot on. The only downside is that we don’t live closer so we could pop in regularly, but that won’t stop us. We’ll definitely be back very soon.

We’d passed by loads of times without really noticing the place, but we’ll definitely be back. On a lovely sunny winter day, we sat outside for fish and chips and a drink. Wow, I honestly haven’t had fish and chips this good in a long time. It was cooked to order and delicious. I got a coffee in the main room bar area, and it came with a couple of shortbread biscuits. The staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. It’s dog friendly too 👍🏻

We’re glad a lot of places in the town centre were closed when we dropped in today, because we’ll eat here again. There’s a great view, especially on a snowy day, a good menu and a great beer selection, even during dry January. The atmosphere was good and everyone enjoyed their fish and chips. £18.95 might sound expensive, but if they’re nice, what does it matter?

We’d had two disappointing visits to Salts, and hadn’t been back for a while, so we felt a bit uncertain about trying again. This lunch was perfect. The oysters were delicious, and the moules frites were beautifully fresh and tasty, all nicely served. We had an excellent chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc with them. Elliott gave excellent service, friendly, efficient and professional, and made the visit feel a little special. I’m so glad we gave it another go. Next time, we can come without that trepidation. Thank you for a lovely lunch, Salts.

We’ve only been in the area for four months, but this is already our favourite restaurant. The menu always has a joyous choice, and the food is utterly delicious. We can’t fault it. The attentive, friendly staff cater for all our needs, and the view is a delight whether you’re eating by day or night. We went on Boxing Day with our sons, and they loved the food and surroundings as much as we do. We’ll be back!
