The views were lovely, and the site had ponds, benches and a laundry room. We visited Gellidywyll to see friends with a holiday home there. The pitches felt spacious, with the vans nicely spread out instead of packed together, and everything was very well kept. We'd definitely recommend it.

The grounds were a real highlight: a pretty pond, sheep wandering about, lovely hills and, on clear nights, no light pollution for stargazing. There's also a little jam shop in the house opposite the park with very cheap homemade jams. We found the cottage cosy and easy to settle into. The books about local history are worth a look, and we had a lot of fun in the games room, especially at the pool table. It costs 50p for a game. There was a puzzle and a couple of board games too, and we played Scrabble a few times. We stayed for a week, and the cottage was gorgeous, spacious and very clean, with most of what we needed. The area was beautiful. Newtown gets busy at peak times, and trains run from Caersws to Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth. We had lovely days out in both places. There are plenty of farm shops and local produce around as well. The kitchen was easy to use and we cooked lots of meals, from seafood pasta and pizza to Korean lamb stew, potato dauphinoise, hot dogs, BBQ chicken and even sushi. Just allow extra time for the oven, which seemed weaker than ours at home. A few kitchen bits would have helped, like kitchen roll, scourers and cling film for leftovers, plus a bathroom hand towel. The toilet roll was tucked at the back of a kitchen cupboard, so we didn't find it until a few days before leaving, after we'd already bought more. Some utensils were also in poor shape: the tongs were broken when we arrived, the saucepan handle was very loose, and the knives were really blunt. Karen had left us Welsh Cakes, which I've become obsessed with, along with tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, milk and butter. No need to buy those before you come. This was my first holiday without my parents, and it was lovely to have a little independence in such a homely place. It was relaxing, exciting and a great way to see Wales. We'll return one day, though we want to explore more of Wales first. My favourite part was the cliff railway in Aberystwyth. It's about an hour by car or train from Caersws station, and I couldn't recommend it more.

The grounds were beautifully kept, with gorgeous scenery and plenty to keep the kids busy. It's a great escape from city life, with lovely local sights and places to visit nearby. We fell for the place straight away. The site owners and neighbours were all welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. We'd only been there a short time and had already made some lovely new friends. It's very child friendly too.

The park was spotless, with tidy lawns, a nice kids' area, a big fishing pond and even a laundromat, so everything was close at hand. The cottage was very clean and tidy too, with a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely double bedroom and en suite, and a large sitting room. There was plenty of hot water, and the heating made it lovely and warm. I booked it while attending my niece's wedding and had a great stay. The price was very reasonable, and the landlady was friendly and helpful. I've recommended it to people and would happily do so again. Thanks for a great break.

The barn was spotless and tidy, with lovely decor and everything we needed. It's set out beautifully, with amazing views and a peaceful country feel. The beach isn't too far away either.
