My wife became quite ill, so we couldn't make our Booking.com stay. Cancelling would have cost £81, which I thought was fair enough. Booking.com advised me to ask the hotel for a free cancellation, and I was also willing to change the dates. I tried to call more than 30 times, emailed, and messaged through Booking.com, but got no answer, just the answering machine throughout last night and today. Eventually the property messaged to say they wouldn't allow cancellation but would let us change dates. I agreed straight away, picked an available date, and applied for it. I thought that was fair of them, since they could have kept the £81. Then they rejected both the cancellation and the date change. If they'd simply said no from the start, I would have accepted it and wouldn't be writing this. I can't speak for the hotel itself, but I can speak about the staff and the customer experience. I'll add pictures of the whole conversation. If this came from the general manager, they should be ashamed. It's very poor business to treat a customer this way after offering a date change.

The views from the hotel are stunning, and it's a great spot if you want to walk or visit the Orme. My top-floor single room was quiet, cosy, and warm, and the radiator was easy to use. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly, though the carpet could use replacing. The shower wasn't modern but worked well. I didn't enjoy most of the cooked breakfast, though the egg and tomatoes were good. Parking was on a very steep hill, and the car park has four tight spaces. A van was taking up all the spaces when I arrived. It's a quaint place, full of character and charm, but could do with a few minor touches.

It's ideally placed for town and right by the arboretum, a good starting point for a long walk up Great Orm. Dogs are welcome, which is great. The views are nice, the staff friendly, and breakfast was good. The decor is okay, though the rooms could use an upgrade. Still, it was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend. Parking can be difficult if you arrive late.

We were there in November, so the weather wasn't great, but you can imagine how lovely it must be on a glorious sunny day. Our room had amazing views, and the place was beautiful and welcoming. It's just a stone's throw from the town centre, pier, and cable cart, though the cable cart shuts down at this time of year. Breakfast was brilliant, with lots to choose from.

The views over llandudno are lovely, and breakfast was very enjoyable. It was a cheap stay, and all three rooms were very clean, with a hairdryer and ironing board and iron supplied in each. The bedrooms and sitting area do need restoration. My room's window handle was missing; I reported it on day one, and by day three the window had been taped up so I couldn't use it. The base of my single bed was stained, though a cover would have hidden it. I'd recommend the sea view rooms.
