St. Kilda Hotel

The seafront location is fabulous, and the staff were very helpful and polite. The bar and restaurant areas were very clean. My single room, 338, was clean too and the bed was comfy. The shower pressure was poor and its holder was broken, so it was nearly perfect. Breakfast was fine, though a little dry, as if it had been prepared an hour earlier and left under a hot plate. I’d still definitely recommend the hotel, and that wouldn’t stop me booking again.

We stayed midweek during half term in 2022 with my two grandchildren. The hotel feels dated, but it was very clean. The staff made a real effort to chat with the children, even though there weren’t many kids staying. We were given complimentary scones and drinks on arrival, a really nice, welcoming touch. There was a very good choice at breakfast. We didn’t have dinner, but other guests told us it was very good.

We’ve just come back from an excellent week here. The food was delicious, with a varied choice each day, and it was great to be able to hire a mobility scooter. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Lara is a real asset to the hotel and makes sure things are done promptly and to a high standard.

It’s a pleasant, older-style hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Our double room was a good size, though some of the single rooms in our group were very small. The evening entertainment varied: Morgan Reeves and Chris Taylor were excellent, but the other two acts during our stay weren’t.
