Breakfast at The Chelsea went beyond what we expected, with fresh fruit, cereal, a cooked meal, then toast or croissants with jam or marmalade. Simon also pointed us towards places to eat, and his recommendations were good, especially the Italian restaurant. We had a comfortable lounge and a lovely sheltered garden to enjoy as well. Our second-floor bedroom had wonderful sea views through two windows. It was spotless and had high-quality accessories, a very comfortable king-size bed, and everything we needed in the room and en-suite. Simon's welcome made us feel at home from the beginning, and the two sociable youngsters, his son and daughter, served breakfast at the weekend. We spent four nights there three weeks ago and would recommend it to anyone who can manage the stairs. That's the only drawback, though given the setting and style of the building, there isn't really another option.

A real highlight was the huge private garden, right in the centre of Llandudno. We also enjoyed watching the sheep on the Orme from our cosy, clean room during our lovely three-night stay at The Chelsea. Simon, his son and daughter, were great hosts. They shared plenty of local dining tips, and breakfast was fresh each morning. The location works well for all methods of travel.

The area is handy for the seafront, town centre and tram station, though being so close to the Great Orme means there are hills and steep steps up to the house. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's something visitors should know. We had a thoroughly enjoyable four-night stay at The Chelsea. Breakfast was delicious, with a lovely range of locally sourced produce, and Simon did everything he could to make us comfortable. One evening he even drove us into town to get us out of the pouring rain.

The king suite gave us plenty of room, with a bedroom and a lounge that was made up as a separate sleeping space for our daughter, so she could have her own area. The shower was amazing, and the toiletries were luxurious and smelled divine. I especially loved the sea breeze scent. Simon was approachable and knew the local area well. The Chelsea felt spacious and welcoming, yet stayed quiet despite its position just a 5-10 minute walk from Llandudno Pier. My husband, DD (12) and I had a great weekend, and I can't wait to return. Breakfast was excellent quality, all made with local produce.

Simon was a fantastic host during our three wonderful nights at the Chelsea. We had a very comfortable room with a sea view, and breakfast was lovely.
