The setting was just what we wanted: quiet and scenic, with Maelog Lake and the beaches at Rhosneigr only a short distance away. We stayed at 3 Tai Newydd, Llanfaelog, and the house was spotless, well cared for, and comfortable. The owner made us feel welcome straight away and clearly takes real care of the place and guests. We had a fantastic stay from beginning to end and would happily recommend booking here for a trip to the area.
The lake is a nice five-minute walk away, and the cottage made a lovely base for exploring Wales. It was comfortable, charming and well equipped, as well as very clean. We had a wonderful family holiday at Tai Newydd and would definitely recommend it.
The big garden was great for the kids to play in, or for sitting with a book and coffee. We could walk to the lake, a little kids' play area, Rhosneigr beach for sunset, and nearby cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Rhosneigr bus and train stations were only a few minutes away too, which helped on the days we used public transport. Inside, the place was warm, clean and cosy, with a simple minimalist feel and everything we needed. The internet was fast, the shower had reliable hot and cold water, and Netflix was on the TV. The kitchen was spotless and fully equipped, and both the coffee maker and ovens worked perfectly. We were visiting Wales from far away and felt at home here. We had the best time and would stay again if we got the chance. It was well worth the money.
The house and garden were lovely, and getting to Rhosneigr was easy, either a short drive or a 20-25 minute walk. We had a wonderful holiday at Tai Newydd and will be back.
A lovely walk or a short drive takes you to Rhosneigr from this very nice holiday cottage. It’s also a great base for exploring Anglesey.
