Lochview Guesthouse

The hosts were lovely, friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was made to order, delicious, and had lots of homemade touches. Our room was large, with a direct loch view, and so was the bathroom. Everything was very clean and practical, the bed was comfortable, and there was tea, coffee and homemade treats in the room. The rain shower was great, and the spa bath was a nice extra.

Being able to make the room completely dark was a real help with the long daylight hours, and I came away feeling properly rested. The room had the space of a flat and felt like hotel quality. Breakfast was both delicious and healthy, with homemade granola, fresh berries and several kinds of tea. Each day there was also a homemade, healthier take on a traditional sweet in the room. The flapjack was one of the best things I ate in Scotland. The hosts were kind and wonderful, and everything felt carefully considered and high quality. The house sits in a quiet spot right by the loch, with lovely views, between the Hidden Valley in Glen Coe and Fort William and Ben Nevis. After breakfast we could quickly get to the main sights, spend plenty of time on longer hikes, then return to a peaceful area away from tourist spots and busy roads. There's also a nice pup within walking distance with great vegetarian options. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

We spent four nights at Rebecca and Richard’s guesthouse and were lucky to find it. Coming back each day to fresh baked goodies in our room was such a treat, and the rooms were cosy and comfortable. Rebecca and Richard were warm and welcoming, with great ideas for things to do nearby. Breakfast had plenty of choices every day, and we really enjoyed chatting with the other guests over it. I'd highly recommend Lochview Guesthouse.

After a long day travelling, finding the baked treats in our room was a great surprise. The room was impeccable and breakfast the next morning was very good. Lochview Guesthouse is a great choice if you're visiting Glencoe: it's an easy, short drive to Three Sisters Car Park, and there's a good pub within walking distance. Would highly recommend a stay here.
