The Mill Forge made our wedding day feel so special. The staff were wonderful, especially Gemma, who was fantastic with the service, our questions and just chatting with us. She made us feel completely at home. Colin knew just where to take us for lovely photos, and the ceremony setting was gorgeous. The day before, everything was carefully laid out for the next day, and the wedding itself couldn't have gone better. We got married here on the 30th December. It's a lovely little venue surrounded by fields, just outside Gretna. Our bridal suite was clean, had everything we needed and felt right for the occasion. There was complimentary fizz, chocolates and a souvenir for us, and we could see cows in the fields from the window. The food and drinks after the ceremony were delicious. In the evening they were happy to make off-menu requests too, which was great when us northerners were desperate for chips and gravy after lots of drinks. The full Scottish breakfast was phenomenal. I honestly wish I could give 100 stars. Whether it's just the two of you, witnesses or guests, you'll feel at home and have a day you'll remember forever. I truly couldn't recommend The Mill Forge more for a wedding.

The staff felt like family, and nothing was a hassle. The piper was fab, and Sandy, the main man, the photographer and Fiona all have my family's thanks. They were beyond great. The catering team, bar staff, chefs and DJ were faultless too. I've recommended this venue and would do so again. It's a fantabulous place to bind your love. Thank you so much.

We got married here on 14/10/25 and absolutely loved it. The meal was lovely, the rooms were really nice, and all our guests enjoyed the day too. The grounds are beautiful and gave us some amazing photos. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller, intimate wedding.

We'd stayed at a few Gretna hotels as a stop on the way to Aberdeen, and decided to give The Mill Forge a try. The big, well-equipped rooms are all on the ground floor, and the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. It made the overnight stop really enjoyable. What a fabulous place. I'd definitely stay again on the drive, and if you're staying overnight in Gretna, look no further than The Mill Forge. Dr. L. S. Reeves

The gardens made for amazing photos, and the wedding setting was beautiful. The meal was tasty and piping hot. I was invited to a wedding but didn't stay overnight. They gave me a room to change into my outfit, and the staff couldn't do enough for me. They were helpful, smiling all day and had great banter.
