I attended a training event at Avis Hotel and found the conference facilities very good. There was a clean, spacious room set up with a projector for presentations and large group tutorials, plus plenty of tables and seats for teaching and learning. The toilets stayed clean and well maintained during the day, and the reception staff were welcoming and glad to help. The coffee during breaks was excellent, too. The quiet setting was one of the best parts. Avis Hotel has a lovely garden where you can get some fresh air between sessions, and the atmosphere felt calm and secure. Parking was straightforward, with spaces on site and plenty of free off-street parking nearby, especially on Sundays. I’d highly recommend it for conferences, training courses, tutorials or meetings. It’s a comfortable, well-equipped and welcoming place for educational or professional events.

Our room had a kettle, fridge, microwave, a table and four chairs, as well as plenty of plug sockets. The hotel was well maintained and had good facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room 21 was on the ground floor and came with a shower, jacuzzi bath, fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee facilities. The hotel and B&B has lots of character and was spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s parking at the front on a quiet street.

The positives: staff were friendly, parking out front was free and easy, and they let us leave the car there for a few hours after checkout. When we came back that evening, they even let us use the toilets before our three-hour drive home, though we were no longer guests. It’s a lovely, safe area for an evening walk, about 10-15 minutes from Bromley High Street and the shopping centre. The room had a useful mini fridge, a decent TV, and big windows that let in air, which helped since there was no AC. Still, we were disappointed for £160 for two nights. Our room was run down, and I’d choose another one if I stayed again. My boyfriend saw another room while the cleaning lady was there and said it was much bigger and had a normal bathroom. I guess we got unlucky, but it was frustrating at that price. Bromley Premier Inn was cheaper, and we might have had a better stay there. Breakfast wasn’t included either. There were quite a few problems in our room. No lift, no AC, and it smelled of weed during our stay. The bathroom was inside a closet with saloon doors, so there wasn’t real privacy. TMI, but I couldn’t use the toilet properly the whole time because I felt shy. The design also meant someone sitting on the bed could see into the shower. If the bathroom has to be tiny, a fully covered sliding door would make more sense. One light switch didn’t work, none of the lamps had working bulbs, and the front door lock took a lot of jiggling. The shower leaked and sprayed hard from one side, soaking my whole head when I was trying to take a body shower. There aren’t transport links nearby either. Maps showed a long walk to the train station, so we took a cab into London. Each Uber took about 10 minutes to arrive because the place is quite far out.

The rooms were safe, clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bromley North shops are an easy walk away. There’s no desk in the room if you need to work, so I used the dining room after breakfast. Breakfast has to be ordered, but I preferred walking into town for a good coffee at one of the cafés.
