Avon Hotel

We had a lovely, peaceful two-week holiday, and we’re so grateful for the kind service and thoughtful gift. We came from Turkey as a family of three, and our room and bathroom were comfortable, perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was calm and felt safe, and the hotel is very close to the metro, which made getting around easy. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. We were really happy with our stay and glad to have met you. Thank you so much for everything. We’ll choose this hotel again without hesitation on our next trip to London.

The room was really small, and the train noise was very loud. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and I found hair in it. The shawarma they serve wasn’t clean either, while breakfast was just average. There was no bottled water, only tap water from the bathroom sink. I hope they keep the rooms cleaner in future. The hotel itself was okay.

We were disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again. The bathroom was tiny and unclean, so even though we were leaving before breakfast, we wouldn’t have eaten there. The shower needed a proper clean, and neither of us used it. The sink had no hot water even after we let it run for a while. In the bedroom, two doubles and a single made the room feel cramped and blocked access to the window. It needs a good clean. Nobody showed us to the bedrooms, and the staircase is very steep when you’re carrying a case. The carpet pattern made it seem easy to slip down.

The staff were lovely, and the free breakfast was a welcome surprise that really topped off the stay. The location was great too, about a five-minute walk from Paddington Station and within walking distance of most popular London spots. The hotel was as expected and a bit on the cheap side. We had the family room for five. It was tight and really warm, but a fan helped us manage. The shower was a bit dirty and the drain was blocked, and the ceiling leaked somewhat, though it didn’t come to much while we were there. I’m not sure I’d return because it’s not great for a big group, but it could do for a couple.
