Curzon Street by Mansley

The location was a real plus, close to Green Park underground, and the apartment was stylish and clean. Staff were lovely, especially Ms Elena Santoro, who was very helpful and let us check in as soon as the room was ready. The only real fault I found was the toilet cistern: it takes about 10 minutes to refill before you can flush again. English plumbing has always been shocking, though. I can't recommend the place enough.

The hotel is cute and has plenty of space, but it was the people who made the stay. The two front desk agents I spoke with and the cleaner all helped me out of several travel mishaps. They really looked out for me and went above and beyond. I'd book here.

After a nine-hour travel day, I arrived to find reception closed, and my phone wasn't working, so checking in was incredibly stressful. The toiletries were nearly empty and never topped up. For what I paid, I was also disappointed that the place was called “luxury”: scaffolding blocked the view, and the rooms felt stuffy and smelled old.

The location is amazing, just 10 steps from Shepherds Market, and the inside was clean. It’s an old hotel, so the lift has a very Victorian gate you open and close. The coffee shop on the nearest corner also does outstanding pastries.
