The bar downstairs didn’t keep us awake, even on Friday and Saturday night. My daughter and I spent two nights here, and it’s now our go-to place for London. The location is excellent, and the service was lovely, friendly, and polite. Our room was compact but comfortable, the bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with a lovely shower. Thanks for such a nice stay. We’d happily recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, though a little shabby. There were small things like wonky curtains, but the hosts were so congenial that those details mattered less. The pub was full of fun, friendly people, and the people running the place made me feel very welcome. I’ll stay here again next time I visit.

Room 303 was very dirty. The towels for the shower were the only clean things. The toilet kept leaking and wouldn’t flush, and several electrical sockets were hanging off the wall.

The Duke Rooms Hotel is in a convenient spot, with a subway station and regional train station both within a 10-minute walk. The bar has quite nice drinks and menus, and its staff were helpful when needed. There’s no elevator, so traveling light is best. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the room and bathroom were pretty clean. In room 302, though, the plug sockets beside the bed were loose and unstable and didn’t work properly. I had to prop my charger up to keep it connected.
