Lak Serviced Apartments

We booked this place through VRBO, but had a horrible experience. The front door was left unsecured during the day, and the duty manager let herself into our apartment while we were inside. We’d been told there was air conditioning, but it was only rolling units. Since we were in the basement, we had to prop them up. There was so much smoke around the patio that we couldn’t enjoy it, and the smell got into the whole place, so we couldn’t use the air conditioning units. We left for a hotel but still got stuck with the week’s bill. The owner and VRBO wouldn’t work with us. Beware!

The rooms themselves were decent, but the way guests were treated made the stay unbearable. The duty manager was repeatedly rude and unprofessional, and some staff seemed dismissive of what guests needed. I've stayed in all sorts of places and never been treated with this level of disrespect. A property should be able to offer basic courtesy and customer service. I can't recommend it, and the owners should rethink their staffing choices.

My first time using LAK, and I came away really pleased with the service. The team were courteous and helpful, and check-in was easy. They walked me through the apartment, the available services, and the relevant protocols, and explained how to contact them at any hour or in an emergency. Great serviced apartments, and I'd strongly recommend them.

The keypad entry for both the main door and the room was handy, so there was no key to worry about losing. The place was quiet, clean and roomy, with the subway and a supermarket nearby. Everything else was good, though we did have to buy toilet paper because it couldn't be replenished.
