The room was quiet and comfortable, despite my initial worry that the central location would be noisy. Staff were friendly, ready to help, and sorted out requests without any hassle. I also appreciated being able to leave my luggage at the hotel on my last day. It's only about two minutes from Leicester Square, and the Underground is easy to reach. Breakfast was on the small side, but honestly plenty for me. I had a very pleasant stay and would come back.
One thing to know is that the washroom doors are glass and don't block any sound, so make sure you're comfortable travelling with each other. Apart from that, my partner and I had a really enjoyable stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and there wasn't much to complain about. Staff were incredibly friendly, and the location was perfect, close to everything we needed. Membership brings benefits like morning coffees and late checkout. We'd definitely stay at Z hotels again.
Our week at The Z Hotel Leicester Square in March was a great choice for my family, especially for a first trip to London. We chose the all-inclusive option, which made meals and breaks easy between outings. The cafe downstairs felt like our own lounge: we could grab afternoon coffee, visit at 5 PM for cheese and wine, have a Gin & Tonic or wine before a West End show, and return for late-night snacks. With London restaurant prices, having food and drinks included made the trip feel seamless. The Z Club Experience was a real bonus. The staff at reception and in the cafe were kind, friendly, and helpful from the start. The room was spotless and modern, with comfortable cushy queen and single beds and a great hot shower. The underground cafe is beautifully designed too. The location is hard to beat. We were ten steps from the National Portrait Gallery and around the corner from the National Gallery. We walked to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster Abbey, and could head out early on Bus 15 to St Paul's, Sky Garden, and the Tower of London, then return for a midday rest. Huge thanks to the whole team for looking after us.
The lift was broken for three of the five nights I stayed on the fourth floor, including the night I arrived and the night before I left. I had to carry heavy bags up five narrow flights of stairs, then carry them down again. That's unacceptable for a modern hotel and cost it a star for each night the lift was out, leaving my rating at two stars. The staff did what they could in a bad situation, but it seems corporate isn't providing the resources they need to keep things running smoothly. There were some good points: the location is perfect, the room was clean, the washroom was fantastic, and the AC worked. The bed was pretty basic, though, and the room had very little space or closet storage, so expect to live out of your suitcase.
I really liked the all-inclusive option, especially being able to pop in for a drink whenever I wanted. The breakfast buffet was decent and the stay felt like good value. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The Z Hotel Leicester Square is right in the centre and close to pretty much everything, so it's a convenient, comfortable choice in London.
