The people running the place tried hard to accommodate us, and the maid service was excellent. It was clean, and there’s a bus right nearby. The downside was the noise: guests stomped around and slammed doors at all hours of the evening, without much thought for others. The bed felt about 25 years old. If loud people and old bedding and pillows don’t bother you, you’ll probably be fine for a day or two.

For the price, the small room was fine, and we found the bed comfortable. It came with a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. But the noise was awful. We were at the front of the hotel, the windows barely seemed to exist, and drilling and other work went on outside all night, from midnight to 4am. We weren’t told about it, and wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. If you need more than four hours of sleep, I can’t recommend it.

The room was clean and fresh, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The only issue was the stairs down to the lower level. I wouldn’t recommend those rooms for elderly guests.

There’s no elevator, something we hadn’t thought to check. We were on the very top floor, but the gentleman at reception carried our heavy suitcases up for us. Our room faced the street and was very noisy, especially with construction going on. It was comfortable and clean, though small, with a little fridge, safe and TV, plus tea, coffee and milk. A fairly basic hotel without any extras.
