Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Sara at the front desk was the one person who really stepped in to help. On the wedding morning, she took it upon herself to find a solution for the courtesy room and kept us updated. Most of the other staff we met on arrival were friendly and accommodating, but the rest of the stay was disappointing and stressful, especially the night before and morning of our wedding. For more than six months, and again in the weeks before our stay, we asked if the groom could have a courtesy room for up to two hours to put on his suit. We didn't need the bathroom. The hotel said it could accommodate us for the special occasion, subject to availability, and would confirm nearer the date. A few days before the wedding, when I checked again, they said they couldn't promise anything and wouldn't know until the morning itself. Had we been told that when I first asked, we would have chosen another hotel or made different arrangements. We also got conflicting answers: the front desk said it was fine, while the Aura team said it wasn't. At check-in, I asked again about the room for the next morning. The man at the front desk said we could pay £900 to secure it, although we'd only need it for an hour. He said the hotel was full, but I could see multiple room types available to book that day on the Melia app. The room had sweet decorations, treats, champagne, and notes, which was a nice touch, but it was so dark that getting ready as a bride was a stressful faff. I also requested an iron at 9am through the app and by phone. It didn't arrive until 11:30, half an hour before we had to leave.

The hotel has a great location in Soho, close to the theatres and lots of good places around town. Its marble and steel finishes look lovely, and the à la carte breakfast in the Italian restaurant was excellent and very complete. I appreciated that they honoured my birthday upgrade, then gave me another one as a Gold member. A few comfort details let it down. The king bed was two beds pushed together, and the split in the middle was uncomfortable. The shower pressure was low, and the room was extremely hot. I called reception twice and both times a woman there told me that was the hotel's standard temperature. I didn't feel my concern was taken seriously, and the heat was uncomfortable as soon as I walked in. A beautiful hotel in a fantastic spot, but the bedding, shower pressure, and temperature control could be better.

Back for my second stay, and I was delighted to return. Matt and his team looked after us so well. The hotel runs slickly, the rooms are beautiful and well appointed, and the location can't be beaten. We had breakfast in our room and really enjoyed it. The food at Radio Rooftop was exceptional, too. Another impeccable stay. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in a Superior Me Riverview Terrace room on the 9th floor at ME London, and the service was world-class from the moment we arrived. Pavel Mirea greeted us warmly, showed us to the room himself, and took time to explain the hotel amenities so we felt at home. Hanaa was just as lovely at checkout and gave us some of the best service we could have imagined. The staff make a real difference here. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we return to London. Highly recommended.
