Native Camden

The rooms are clean, tidy, and compact, and Camden Road Station is about a 15-minute bus ride away. Just to be clear, this isn't in Camden Town. The site looks out over HMP Holloway, which might appeal if you want the excitement of waiting for a breakout from a women's prison. The rooms aren't very well ventilated and get rather hot.

I felt safe here, and found it clean and warm even without the heating on. Check-in was easy, and as a solo traveler staying four nights, I wanted somewhere with more to it than a hotel. The location isn't actually in camden. Caledonian Road is the nearest station, about a ten-minute walk away, and the closest supermarket is also ten minutes on foot. The mattress was really old and thin, so uncomfortable. Even with the fan in the room, I imagine it would get too warm in summer.

Check-in with the code was easy, and the basement apartment was very clean. It had a full kitchen, iron, hairdryer, and a large fan, plus tea and coffee. Perfect.

There isn't any ventilation in the rooms, and switching on the lights doesn't make things any easier. The first-floor windows and doors also don't feel safe to leave open.
